Lost over 150# using Chicory Root

My Diet Journey

Tried many diets over the years that failed, until I combined the keto type diet idea but using more protein than fats and low carbs.

I don’t work for or promote any businesses. I simply share what has worked for me so far!

I focus on more protein as the lever and decreased calories for the weight loss.
I follow a set of generic bariatric macros that have helped me to lose over 150# since June 2019. and keep it off on a new sustainable way of eating and living.

Daily I try to stay within these parameters:
Calories : 1200 or less|
Protein : 125g or more
Net Carbs ” 20-25g or less
Fats : 50-75g

As I began this journey, I also included a recommended cheap prebiotic called white Chicory Root Fiber Powder, probiotic blend of Acidophilus/Lactobacillus and Acacia Fiber powder.

Combined they synergistically boost our microbiome and digestion to work optimally and correct thins like Leaky Gut, lower cholesterol, lower A1C, help heart and other issues including arthritis. Chicory seems to be a wonder supplement that makes even a cheap probiotic work better!
Anyway I should have compiled this blog sooner but have been on groups and posts on social media all along while getting more requests for info every day so decided to gather my thoughts and posts and provide the information here so it can help others on a similar journey.

What I do on my diet or new way of eating :
  • I research nutrients of food products looking for the best macros including their calories, netcarbs, protein, fat and fiber content and compile lists of groceries that help my diet.
  • I research and test out supplements that help with, diets, autoimmune disorders, and other medical conditions I have and share the results.
  • I track my dietary intake
  • I am disabled so I have been sedentary and losing weight without exercise but as I lose weight, my mobility has been increasing so I hope to be able to do more in the days ahead.
